During Op Roakeldais’ Youth Day, Kenya is represented by the Bakayola Arts Center. The group consists of exchange students George and Mosse, who, together with experienced music leaders Antony and Beta, introduce young people to the rich music and dance culture of their country.

Through workshops, rhythm exercises, and joint performances, they share the energy and traditions of Kenya in a playful and interactive way. In this way, participants not only experience the dynamics of African music and dance but also learn about collaboration, cultural exchange, and the joy of creative expression.

During Youth Day, the Bakayola Arts Center ensures an inspiring and educational experience in which the colors, rhythms, and stories of Kenya come to life.Tambores de Siloé is formed by about a hundred children and young people from Comuna 20 in Cali, and their story sounds as rhythmic as it is inventive. Because here, music does not come from expensive instruments or prestigious music academies, but from pure creativity and hope. Their drums were once cans, their maracas bottles. Where others see waste, they see possibilities, rhythm, life. Especially for the festival, they brought these instruments!
