Especially for the Youth day, 4 exchange students from Cali, Colombia traveled to Op Roakeldais. This in the context of the great collaboration between Kunstkerk Hogeland and the festival in the context of the MDT, they introduced about 1250 young people to the rhythms and life in Cali Colombia and they visited about 6 schools with cultural education lessons.

Tambores de Siloé is formed by about a hundred children and young people from Comuna 20 in Cali, and their story sounds as rhythmic as it is inventive. Because here, music does not come from expensive instruments or prestigious music academies, but from pure creativity and hope. Their drums were once cans, their maracas bottles. Where others see waste, they see possibilities, rhythm, life. Especially for the festival, they brought these instruments!
