A beautiful statement by Nelson Mandela from the country where Ama Zebra comes from. Ama Zebra comes from the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, better known as the city of Durban.

This beautiful group is no stranger to the festival, who managed to make it far in the program South-Africa’s Got Talent 2017, brings traditional Zulu dances with a modern twist and breathtaking singing to the festival! Traditionally, these dances were performed at rites of passage, celebrations and festivities. They are characterized by rhythmic leg and footwork as well as smooth hip movements. This year the group has new elements in their repertoire such as the gumboot dance.

During their participation in 2019, Festival Op Roakeldais started a beautiful project in which clothing was collected by the primary schools during the school days for peers in Durban. The group was able to return with suitcases full of clothes and a check for their supporters in South Africa.
